CLOUD ATLAS REVIEW: And You Thought They Couldn’t Do Worse Than Speed Racer.

Dear god.

Just when you thought the Wachowski’s hit rock bottom with Speed Racer, the worst cartoon racing movie of all time, they manage to make Cloud Atlas, the worst Sci-Fi Film, the worst Pirate Movie, the worst Zany Geriatric Escape-Comedy, the worst Victorian Romance, the worst 70′s Blaxploitation flick, AND the worst Post-Apocalyptic Fantasy film ALL AT ONCE, smashing them into the most excruciatingly unbearable 3-hour marathon of audience abuse ever made.

But what did you think? Our review is on the way… which we weren’t going to bother with until it stole 3 hours of our lives away and we felt the deep responsibility to prevent it from happening to you, too.

THE HUNGER GAMES REVIEW: Still Hungry?

Harry Potter and Twilight books each captured a specific demographic whether it was young readers or teenage girls, but there’s something about The Hunger Games books that manages to go after all those readers and still not ostracize guys or older readers.

And so it shouldn’t be a surprise that the movie pulled in a quarter billion dollars in 10 days.

But does the movie measure up to a book that so clearly illuminates the dangers of unchecked government and genetic engineering? Or was the opportunity for a great adaptation missed in favour of making a film that’s just Lord of the Flies meets Running Man for the Survivor generation?

You’ve heard what we thought, now let us know what your impression of the Hunger Games were!

THE BOOK OF ELI REVIEW: Rewatch!

The Hughes Brothers may have delivered us a familiar “by the book” post-apocalyptic world, the story certainly took some unexpected turns to the point that The Book of Eli may just have a “Sixth Sense” need for a rewatch! Just keep your eye on Denzel in some of the clips in this review!

THE BOOK OF ELI PREVIEW: Post God, Post Apocalypse

The Hughes Brothers have been away from the limelight since 2001′s From Hell with Johnny Depp, but their return features the huge combo of Denzel Washington and Gary Oldman in a post-apocalyptic western-inspired tale of biblical proportions.
