Certainly overdue, but with Nat on vacation during an X-Men film release, it’s tough to keep up! How does free love and mutually assured distruction get along with a prequel/reboot of the X-Men franchise? Well, the killer casting and promise of a cameo or two made First Class have some initial excitement to off-set the fear of making this movie in a short 10-months… Doesn’t seem like very long until you consider that’s how long we have to wait for another episode of Game of Thrones!

By all rights, Paranormal Activity 2 is better than the first. It has more characters, more interesting characters, better camera work, cooler effects, even better sound design and a bigger, more impressive story. But somehow, just doesn’t measure up to the visceral experience of watching the first one. We’ve already had this experience and it was called Paranormal Activity. That doesn’t mean we didn’t jump out of our seats and lose some popcorn watching this bad boy. It packs a spook.

When the film adaptation of the greatest action-comedy show of the 80′s is directed by a wild talent like Carnahan, you KNOW the A-Team will have some of the most off-the-hook action possible. But the A-Team was more than just guns and bombs, it was a group of four men who looked out for each other like brothers, and if we’re going to see Hannibal, Face, Murdock and B.A. come to life all over again on the big screen, Carnahan has his work cut out for him making that classic 4-way bromance sing.

To say that Wolverine has multiple endings isn’t exactly correct, but it does have multiple post-credit bonus scenes. Much like the post-credit Nick Fury scene in Iron Man, or the Tony Stark scene in Incredible Hulk, X-Men Origins: Wolverine gives you a reason to sit through the credits… and it’s hard to know which one you’ll be getting since Gavin Hood has put at least two different versions out in theatres, that we know of. We’ve seen two different endings, one that’s Deadpool-centric and once that’s Japan-based, but it won’t take long to get to the bottom of how many there are, and to see them all!

With interviews with Hugh Jackman, Liev Schreiber, Ryan Reynolds, Daniel Henney and director Gavin Hood, the advanced preview clips we’ve got for you from Wolverine are high octane, funny, and classic Wolverine; just the thing to make Matt want to grow a mean set of mutton chops year round!

It’s been three movies of watching Logan share the screen with other mutants while we pretended he wasn’t the main character… and now we don’t have to pretend anymore. X-Men Origins: Wolverine centres on everyone’s favourite Candian Ball of Berserker Rage, and makes no apologies for it. With Hugh Jackman producing the film as well as starring, it looks like the man who might just know Logan best is shouldering a lot of the responsibility in bringing us his origin story well.

Thanks to an industry contact who has to remain nameless, we’ve managed to get our hands on a copy of the much publicized Wolverine Workprint… and boy do we have some things to say about it! Some good, some not so good, but this version is by no means the final film we’ll be seeing in theatres in May. It, in fact, is the version that lead to Fox commissioning millions of dollars in re-shoots and changes. Will that make it better? Worse? There’s no way to know yet, but this will give us some rare insight to the process of making a blockbuster!

Since we got all the goodies from Sony so late, we weren’t able to make a proper preview for Underworld, so we’ve incorporated a few words of wisdom from the cast and crew into our regular review style.

What did we think? Well, we knew what we were getting, not only because it’s a prequel and the story was already given away back in 2003, but because we know what to expect from an Underworld movie: Vampires and Werewolves taken deadly serious no matter how absurd the story. And we love it that way. Sure the second film in the series was an ungodly piece of crap, but hey, not everything is Lord of the Rings or Star Wars.

The behind the scenes goodies for “Underworld: Rise of the Lycans” were JUST released this morning, so we’re really under the gun to put together a preview in time for it to be worth watching. Instead, we’ll make a YourGeekNews.com exclusive sneak-peak video with two scenes from the movie included, and then we’ll make a more in-depth review next week!
