Matt brings on guest Puppetry expert Brian Hogg, founder of Hoggworks, to review Jason Segel’s new instalment to the well loved (and recently poorly handled) Muppet franchise! Since these are two children of the 80′s talking about what a child of the 80′s did with their childhood friends, it could get messy. And long.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1 is easily the darkest film in the series, but as half a movie, it’s tough to judge on its own merit. We both loved it to death, but we’ve also BOTH read all the books at this point. What did you think?

By all rights, Paranormal Activity 2 is better than the first. It has more characters, more interesting characters, better camera work, cooler effects, even better sound design and a bigger, more impressive story. But somehow, just doesn’t measure up to the visceral experience of watching the first one. We’ve already had this experience and it was called Paranormal Activity. That doesn’t mean we didn’t jump out of our seats and lose some popcorn watching this bad boy. It packs a spook.

The cast of RED could have all phoned in their performances, and it still would have been some of the finest acting that the action genre has ever seen. Toss in Helen Mirren firing an artillery canon, and this baby is worth catching in the theatre for sure! Just don’t go in expecting to see the Warren Ellis comics on the big screen.

You’d never know it from the opening weekend at the Box Office, but Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is one seriously ingenious film. Ingenious from the pacing, to the visuals, to the meta-data, which is to say nothing for the fact that Edgar Wright made an incredible adaptation of the source material at the same time! Whatever you do today, make sure that it includes checking this movie out!

M. Night hasn’t made a good movie in a long time… and yet when he was trusted to adapt the animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender into a film, he managed to make one of the most faithful adaptations we’ve seen in years! Matt loves the original series, and Nat has never seen it, but Airbender gets a unanimous cheer from the geeks, knocking out a great adaptation, a fun movie, and a Shyamalan movie that wasn’t the Crappening!

The definitive action foursome from the 80′s are back and bigger than ever! Carnahan knocked this baby out of the park, not only do we get the mysterious origin of the A-Team finally told, but we ALSO get two more hours of rock ‘em sock ‘em wicked action and hilarious hi-jinks of a reimagined yet somehow faithful re-casting of the iconic characters. The only thing left to hope for is a sequel!

Ridley Scott and Russell Crowe make a great team. Just look at Gladiator. Really. We mean it, skip Robin Hood and just go watch Gladiator. This movie is so BARELY a story of Robin Hood, it hardly deserves the name, and winds up being little more than a re-tread of Scott’s previous epic work. Everyone phoned it in on this one, folks; don’t waste your time.
