Saw Kick-Ass yesterday night and you were right (as usual) LOVED IT!! and Hit Girl just gave me that sense of: yes! that is possible! Great movie, bloody, naive, perfect!

As always a great review!

I agree, Chloe Moretz as Hit Girl was down right astounding. I left going “She -made- that movie” and I’m glad to see thats how a lot of reviews have gone. I look forward to hopefully another Kick-Ass down the road.

By the way, love the new YGN intro CGI, was perfect, I Just keep picturing all these little updates for TV

I thought this movie was fantastic – can’t think of much anything bad to say about it, it was funny and intense. It seemed like they didn’t really know how to or want to spend too much time on McLovin’s (I doubt I’ll ever really be able to remember his real name) character, so his storyline didn’t seem fully satisfying or complete. So much of this movie was pricelessly good – right from the opening sequence where the presumed narrator takes his shiny new wings for a spin. And our introduction to Hitgirl and her dad – as you guys noted – was hillariously unexpected. They were such non-traditional characters, it was always fun to see what they were up to.

That said, you guys gave Nicholas Cage more slack than I would have. The fallout of the unmasking sequence should have been more intense than it was – maybe they didn’t want to overdo it, given some of the grimness in the rest of the picture – but I thought he had a squawking tone of voice that ruined some immersion. Generally speaking I refuse to see movies featuring Cage, so that’s likely poisoning my perspective.

Overall, I thought this movie was pretty incredible.
