SCOTT PILGRIM REVIEW: Way Better Than You Think
You’d never know it from the opening weekend at the Box Office, but Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is one seriously ingenious film. Ingenious from the pacing, to the visuals, to the meta-data, which is to say nothing for the fact that Edgar Wright made an incredible adaptation of the source material at the same time! Whatever you do today, make sure that it includes checking this movie out!

Great review, as usual. I really liked the new look, it feels like a tv show, more proffesional and clean look

Have to agree with you guys- this film was awesome!
People absolutely need to go see it. It is so difficult to find good entertainment these days. If we don’t support movies like this, Hollywood is just gonna keep shovel-feeding us the sh*t.

As I’ve posted at YouTube, when it comes to Scott’s description on fighting a bunch of guys to save Kim is still featured. This is for those who don’t know or viewed the YouTube version of this review, but Adult Swim showed a prequel called “Scott Pilgrim vs. The Animation.” Here’s a link to a profile that uploaded the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljXNUnrg4fc

First, loved the review, as always. Totally spot on with my analysis/thoughts!
I saw this movie opening weekend, I knew from the initial “universal” logo in old school NES graphics/sound, this was going to be EPIC. For me, I was dying the ENTIRE way through the movie. So many ‘geek’ references here and there, I was laughing when some people weren’t. Guess I showed my true status there. But I don’t care, this movie is going to be one of my all time favorite geekouts.

The reason I think why this movie is not getting a lot fo money is because of critics these days. I looked online and in my morning paper and many offical critics gave this movie very poor ratings. Which is a shame, because most of these critics are just too old for this movie I guess. I loved it personally.

Well, not all the critics dissed this movie. It has a 68 rating out of 100 on Metacritic which means “generally positive reviews” (Unlike one other movie that has a score of a 20/100 that a certain duo really dug and I’m still angry at for calling it “a brilliant adaptation”).

To all the Canadians,
As an American who is open-minded when it comes to all things film and TV related, I apologize on the behalf of my half-witted countrymen for the film not doing well at the box office. But when you put an action/romantic comedy against an action movie packed with a lot of action stars, most of the U.S. is going to see the latter, while the smaller percentage (such as myself) would see “Scott Pilgrim”.
Again, sorry.
