SHERLOCK HOLMES REVIEW: A Modern Period Piece

Guy Ritchie certainly did not let directing a period piece take away from his signature style and flair, because somehow he’s made a historical film feel relevant and modern to an audience today. With a magnificent cast, amazing characters and a story worthy of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle himself, Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock is a new incarnation that will make Downey at home in the ranks of Michael Caine, Chistopher Plummer and Peter O’Toole.

I just went to see it last night. Loved the movie. Even my girlfriend, who tends to only like romantic comedies, loved it too. I can’t wait for the bluray release.

I know this is not bsgcast. But, any news on Caprica?

I liked the movie overall, but I did feel certain elements (like the entire addler storyline) were not needed and only added length to the film. I did enjoy the whole Holmes/Watson interaction; I hadn’t seen Jude Law in quite a while, so it was nice to see him again here.
