No comments??? How can this be, no comments on this movie review?

I'm a little older. I watched the original series when it was new, when I was about 5. I didn't really understand it yet, but I knew I wanted to watch it and insisted on staying up past bedtime to see it. I watched it in reruns over and over again, and about pissed my pants when Star Trek: The Motion Picture first came out. I've watched every single ST movie on opening day, with the exception of ST5, which, I wish I never watched at all, actually.

I overall really enjoyed this movie too. I think there were more nits to pick. I didn't really buy the new Scotty. And the sequence of him in the tubes came across as an action sequence just to have an action sequence. It didn't advance the story any, just filler. And Kirk just happens to walk into the right cave to find Spock Prime was just a bit too coincidental.

But, the Spock/Kirk relationship was perfect. So, I was happy.

Disappointed that Nat doesn't consider herself a a Trek fan, at least not until now. How can she be a "true geek"? I sense a demotion is in order! Ensign Redshirt Nat, you are to beam down immediately!
