THE BOOK OF ELI PREVIEW: Post God, Post Apocalypse

The Hughes Brothers have been away from the limelight since 2001’s From Hell with Johnny Depp, but their return features the huge combo of Denzel Washington and Gary Oldman in a post-apocalyptic western-inspired tale of biblical proportions.

It’s good, although the pacing feels a bit off to me, kind of uneven in a way. At moments I was surprised how quickly things were moving along and at others I was left wondering “why are we here again, couldn’t we be going something more important elsewhere?” The ending too left me feeling like it did a lot and not enough all at the same time.

This is not just a movie to watch and rate, it’s a movie to watch and rate our lives! The best movies are true ones even if the truth hasn’t come full circle. Read in the “Book” about Elijah
