THIRST REVIEW: Korean Vampires, Old Boy Style

If you have a chance to track down a theatre playing this award winning Korean Vampire film from the Director of Old Boy, you will not be disappointed. Graphic and visceral in every way, Thirst, or Bakjwi, blew our minds with the realism that the story was grounded in, and the depths to which the characters could sink.

  1. Love your reviews. I just recently discovered your channel on you tube (which led to your website) and I’m watching a backlog of your old shows. I don’t usually comment but I had to say something about Thirst because it was such an amazing find. I was able to see it in limited release here in Austin Texas and it was one of my top movies in 2009 and one of the best vampire movies I’ve ever seen. I loved that they returned to an old school version of vampires. I can’t say how much I hate the new age vampires that walk in day light, eat food and don’t get me started on sparkling. This one ranks very close to my all time favorite vampire movies of all time “Dance of the Damned”. I LOVED the ending especially.
