Now, we’re not saying there’s anything WRONG with twisted metal and 3D Bay-splosions… in fact, making a film in 3D seems to have slowed down Bay’s editing pace considerably. But if you were expecting maybe third times the charm for Bay and the Transformers source material, you’ll be just as disappointed by this one as all the others. There’s barely enough to recognize your favourite 80′s cartoon was the basis of this 2.5-hour romp, but after it leaves you exhausted at the credits, you’ll need to watch the original cartoon to remind yourself what the Ark was and that Shockwave has a broader vocabulary than a cockroach.

I hated the second movie and this one is very stupid but I’ve really enjoyed it because of the amazing sound and 3D (the best 3D since Avatar), the great visuals, shockwave was super cool, it was Megan-less and Shia is a brilliant actor so I’ll also recommend it.
One more thing, I find it disturbing that Optimus Prime wated until Chicago was totally obliterated and only than he came back from the Transformers hiding place (under the sapce shuttle), just to teach the humans a lesson about the Decepticons… that’s F’ed up, Optimus would never do something like that.
I went to the new HP-Part 2 premiere (July 14th) and it was amazing!!

and I thought that the 3rd transformers was better, because it wasn’t just 100% action scenes. there were actually quieter moments for the audience to think about what’s actually going on!
Em…I’m just saying…could it be that the space shuttle dropped at a far distance from Chicago and it takes some time for the Autobots to sneak into the city undetected by decepticons? The crash journey happens offscreen…so it’s pretty hard to tell whether Optimus waited and appear until the city is destroyed. I mean…I think it might take some time to really be able to sneak in…specially one with a huge mechtech trailer…
There’s a plothole that’s not mentioned: where the matrix of leadership comes from? It’s supposed to be destroyed in the 2nd movie?
Btw, spot-on criticism on shockwave and soundwave, overimportance on human side story and robots as side characters, etc.
I don’t think Dino have an Asian accent, but I think it’s a fake/poor imitation of Italian accent. Dino was used instead of Mirage due to Ferrari’s request.
Sideswipe is not a Lamborghini unfortunately, it’s still the same GMC concept car but convertible.
It’s very true, it is a film without a heart & soul but we watch it for the special effects and action.

I gotta say you guys sounded very luke warm about this movie. Even the parts you liked I wasn’t sure if you were being sarcastic haha. I didn’t like the first movie which is why I never watched the 2nd. I’d only watch 3rd if it had amazing reviews all around. Dodged another bullet *phew*
