ECLIPSE REVIEW: Wait… Matt… LIKED it?
As a film and as an adaptation of Stephanie Meyer’s bestselling tween romance novels, Eclipse’s director, David Slade, most certainly out-did either of his predecessors. While the love story remains intact to satisfy Nat’s need for any angsty werewolf/vampire/human love triangle, Matt appreciated the clear effort taken to attract a male audience by adding a dark and more violent visual style, that was clearly riffing on actual horror elements for the first time in the series.
Coming up next are Reviews of The Last Airbender, Predators and Inception!

Loved the Review Guys!
One point that you brought up (I realized Nat probably simply forgot).
“Jasper in the last movie was vulnerable to Bella’s blood appearing because he was new vampire…?”
The answer is he became a New “Veggie” Vampire when he joined the Cullens. So Bella’s human blood was something he was just trying to kick the habit of. It wasn’t that he was a new vampire, you’re right he was turned in the Civil War, it was that he was only eating Animal Blood at the time.
They had more time to explain it in the book, than in the movie.

all in all it hits at least par with the rest of his movies.

Jasper is newer to the “vegetarian” lifestyle than everyone else, including Edward, so that’s why he can’t handle being around Bella’s blood.

Basically the deal with this is I compare it to Harry Potter. Harry Potter captivates and moves the plotline with each segmented movie. Each having its own conflict and resolution. Its own story with an overall plotline that moves. Why can’t Twilight? The first movie was alright. The second movie was nothing more than bella going “zomg im a teenager with hormoes and I can’t decide who to lose my virginity to” while this latest installment is nothing more than a continuation of that sentiment. I feel that new moon & eclipse could have been squeezed into one movie, and it would have been a much, much venue.
And lastly, *spoiler alert* When two vampires fight each other, we know that in this series they are ‘hardened diamond skinned undead’ but when one gets punched in the face, and his head cracked in half and the “open part” where you expect to see brain/skin/undead blood etc is nothing more than a completely 100% hardened diamond interior. One must ask… the vampires in twilight. What the frak gives? Why do they need blood? Does that keep their diamonds shiny or something? Also with no brain or actual interiors… doesn’t that mean that they are nothing more than undead golems?

Heath…we saw Inception alright. And we were SO blown away by it, we did a review on it:) It’s so refreshing to see an original idea.
Matt’s already seen it twice. I need to see it at least a couple more times.

Matt,
any credibility as a man or reviewer just flew out the window with this review. This movie was awful, beyond awful. Its chick porn, its a mormons fantasy story. My god man have some balls and give this piece of crap what it deserves. Stephaine myer is a hack.
