THE WOLFMAN REVIEW: Improve Upon A Classic? Oh Yes.
Let’s preface this review with the fact that Matt is quite possibly one of the biggest werewolf aficionado’s on the planet, having watched any and every lycanthropic-film in the last hundred years. And nothing but nothing compares to The Wolf-Man. Except, of course, The Wolfman. Faithful in all the right ways, and yet unafraid to weave a more complex storyline with more extreme Werewolf rampages, an even more foreign origin story, and an ending that will knock your socks off. Yes, that’s right, there’s a new Wolfman in Blackmoor, Chaney, and he can howl with the best of them.

Do you think guys could do a review of Martin Scorsese’s Shutter Island? It might not be a part of any franchise or anything but it seems like the type of film that you guys might like to review.

After the long and aggressive trailer campaign, we’ll definitely be seeing Shutter Island, Heath! And if it blows us away, or severely disappoints, we may not be able to stop ourselves from doing a review, geek or no geek!

Awesome! Good to know! Oh, did you guys manage to hear some leaked music from Alice in Wonderland by Danny Elfman by any chance? Well, here’s the link to it, hope it didn’t get disabled: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0_N8DVE0u8&feature=related

I completely agree with the review. I LOVE the original, and this was an amazing remake. Classic horror movies are still better than every “horror” film we get these days. Nice to see one in the style of the classics again.

I agree with ya’ll completely. I actually found myself crying at the end, actually CRYING because I felt so sad for Lawrence! Benicio was fantastic and I for one was ecstatic that it was practical makeup and not totally CGI. Fantastic!

Sorry, but the minute I saw the very first trailer of this WOLFMAN I knew Hopkins turns out to be the baddie at the end. It was really sad how obvious it was. I mean, they even cut the trailer that way…

Just saw Shutter Island a second time and so far, it’s the best film of the year. Matt & Nat, you’d totally dig it.
